Abdel Rahim Ali, a member of parliament, head of the Center for Middle East Studies in Paris and Chairman of the Board of Directors and Editor-in-chief of Al-Bawaba News, said that he has many convictions. The first one, he said, is that Europe is living in a real danger represented in the spread of the values of the Islamic movements, including in the foremost the associations affiliated to the Muslim Brotherhood group which reached the number of 500 in the European continent. The values of the Islamic movements, Ali said, are invading Western values in an attempt to melt or swallow them and enable different values instead, according to previously-planned and previously-tested stages in many regions of the world.
He pointed out that among these convictions is also the fact that the terrorism which is suffered by the countries of the world and has been strongly spreading in the European Union countries began ideologically in the Arab region. The phase of bombings was only the end of the thread, which firstly included rallying, mobilization, recruitment and indoctrination according to concepts built on hatred of the other religiously different and the principle of superiority by faith. MP Ali said that those concepts did not find those who address them in a timely manner until they became part of the general thinking of Muslims. “They are possible to be repeated in your countries if you leave the situation as it is without a decisive confrontation,” he told the parliament.
The head of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies in Paris stressed that the siege of the beginning of a crisis is necessary to prevent access to the end. “So, if we do not besiege this ideology and deter it by force of law, constitutions and norms of organized communities, this will inevitably lead us to terrorist acts, regardless of our experience and our security potentials,” he said.
This came during a lecture given by MP Ali, on Tuesday, before the European Parliament in Strasbourg, where he spoke about the danger of the Brotherhood’s spread in Europe and the dangers of financing terrorism
